1.如果包裹不超过13,盎司,可以选择“头等邮件”价格从$3.66到$5.79之间,一般运程3-4天;
2. 超过13盎司只能选“优先邮件”,起价$7.35,运程一般2-3天;
Send Your Christmas Greetings
In Time
By Hong Mizelle
Hello everyone!
There is exactly one month left to 2019 Christmas Day from today. Our post office workers have entered an annual non-stop busy season.
You might say, “who’s not busy when you’re at the festival?” But you can’t imagine how the post office staff’s Christmas month responded to nearly ten times more mail parcels than usual. Some office workers need to go to work at 12 am to receive Amazon online purchases; the front clerk are sometimes so busy that they don’t have time to go to the restroom; the postmen & women does not light up when they arrives in the morning, and it is dark totally when they leaves at night.
I worked in the post office for nearly two decades. There were always customers came to post office to send Christmas gifts that were not sending out in time before the holiday, almost every year after Christmas days.
So I would like remind you to act earlier, so that your family and friends will receive your Christmas greetings and surprises on time;
so as to avoid having to spend high shipping costs near the actual day.
Here I took a photo of the official post office’s “Send Joy In Time” mailing deadline (mail before this date, the recipient can get it before Christmas) for your reference.
All post offices should have this chart posted a week ago.
The specific price is calculated based on the weight of the zip code of the recipient’s location and the packaging volume.
1. If the package does not exceed 13ozs, you can choose “first-class mail”. The price ranges from $ 3.66 to $ 5.79, and it usually takes 3-4 days.
2. Only “Priority Mail” can be selected starting from $ 7.35 for more than 13ozs, usually takes
2-3 days;
3. If you need to arrive the next day, only choice is “Express Mail”. Most areas have a one-day guaranteed, but it takes two days for remote mountains or far from the airport, starting at $ 25.50.
In my experience, it is better to go to send at post office before the deadline to avoid the problem of postal delays due to the unexpected bad weather. Holiday supposed to be , right?
